A ridge tile, also called a ridge cap, is a curved roof tile covering the ridge of a pitched roof, such as a gable roof. A row of ridge tiles covers the seam where the two roof planes meet. On both sides, the ridge ends in an end piece.
A loose ridge tile is repaired by re-securing it in fresh mortar or roofing mortar, or with clamps on a ridge roll. A broken ridge tile is replaced with a new one of the same shape. If you would like to know what needs to be done to your ridge, one of our roofers will assess it during the free inspection.
That is possible, but you would be working at the highest point of a pitched roof. If you let us do it, a VCA-certified company will work on your ridge. We will take the old ridge tiles and mortar with us afterwards.
