Ridge renovation with new ridge beam in Wijchen

We renovated the ridge of the tiled roof at a home in Wijchen. We removed the existing ridge tiles and the top row of roof tiles to expose the old ridge beam. We replaced this with a new wooden ridge beam, secured with metal ridge beam brackets. We then reinstalled and screwed down the top row of roof tiles and the ridge tiles. The result is a sleek ridge with a durable and watertight finish.

The old mortar under our ridge tiles had completely crumbled due to frost. Dakdekker Specialist Ede removed all the old material and re-secured the ridge tiles with a modern, flexible roofing mortar. As a proactive roofer, he worked very neatly, and the tiled roof is ready to last for many more years.
